On the Speaker Circuit: Nulman Provides Effective Mediation Tips at Industry Conferences

Attorney and full-time mediator James L. Nulman shared mediation tips at two industry conferences this past year.

In March, at the 12th Annual Construction Law Institute sponsored by the Florida Bar, he spoke on the topic: Mediation: Exchanging Information and Increasing the Chances of Settlement. During his presentation, Nulman shared planning and preparation techniques to help attorneys increase the chances of settling a construction dispute at mediation with maximum results for their clients.

In October, he spoke at the 8th Annual Construction Law in Florida seminar. During his presentation he shared a blueprint for conducting effective mediations and settling cases prior to trial.

In the state of Florida, parties involved in a lawsuit are required to participate in a facilitated mediation as a means to settle disputes before going to trial. The training attorneys receive at the Construction Law Institute and annual Construction Law in Florida seminar keeps them up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of construction law, in addition to offering effective techniques to resolve disputes for their clients.
